Curtains
Only with a handmade window treatment is it possible to make maximum use of fabric pattern and designs, thus achieving stunning results. The colour and look of a fabric can change quite dramatically depending simply on how it is pleated. This can only be achieved with hand sewn pleats.
Each project is a brand new canvas, and although the basic methods are constant, unless intended, no two pairs of handmade curtains are the same. Our aim is to work with you to bring ideas and inspirations to life using beautiful fabrics and hardware.
At Visala Soft Furnishings we do not cut corners in order to save time and money, as we believe that for our hand-sewn treatments to look good for years to come there are no shortcuts.
Blinds
Visala Soft Furnishings are also able to offer all types of made to measure blinds. On a handmade Roman blind there will not be any machine stitching visible on the face fabric ensuring that when the blind is fully lowered it shows off the beauty of the fabric only. When the blind is raised it will form perfect straight pleats.
We can also supply roller, venetian and vertical blinds. All our blinds are supplied to meet all the latest British Standards child safety regulations.
Cushions
Cushions can provide a multitude of purposes, whether you want to soften the look of a sofa and add comfort, inject a zest of colour to a room or give a bed a truly sumptuous finish. Cushions can come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes, with piped edges or a gorgeous contrasting trimming.
We use feather inners as standard but should you require a polyester filling, then of course we can supply these.
Pelmets
Pelmets come in two forms, a soft flat pelmet and an upholstered hardboard pelmet. A pelmet will finish off the design of your curtains or blind providing elegance and height if required to your windows.
You can have matching or contrasting fabrics, textures and colours and they can be simple or elaborate.
Being attached to a pelmet board, pelmets are also a great way of blocking out light from the top of a window.
Bedroom Treatments
The bed is a focal point of any bedroom and the design should complement the window treatment. It may just be a couple of cushions, a simple bed throw or adding lavish bed curtains, our aim is to give you the look and finish you desire.
